Deutschland 89 Season 1 Episode 2 Brave Guy

Deutschland 89 is a German-language television series that premiered in October 2020. Created by Anna Winger and Jörg Winger, the show is set in the late 1980s during the final years of the Cold War and is a sequel to the earlier seasons, Deutschland 83 and Deutschland 86. The show follows Martin Rauch, a former East German spy, as he navigates his new life in a unified Germany.

She convinces Martin to help her get them out of the country, and they hatch a plan to smuggle them out. Martin's former Stasi colleagues, including his former lover Annett, are also involved in the plan.

The situation becomes complicated when Martin discovers that Jäger is actually an informant for the police and had been working with the Stasi all along. Martin must decide whether to trust Lenora and go along with the plan or to confront Jäger and try to stop him from betraying his friends.

Meanwhile, Martin's relationship with his son Max continues to be strained, as Max struggles with his father's past as a spy. Martin tries to make amends with Max by taking him to a concert, but their evening is cut short when Martin is called away to deal with the aftermath of the failed protest.

In "Brave Guy," we see Martin struggling to come to terms with his past and to find a place for himself in the new Germany.
