Dr. Ishii tells Naoko and her father about a new exhibit he is working on, and how he needs help collecting dinosaur bones. Naoko is thrilled at the opportunity to help and eagerly volunteers. However, when Takashi finds out about the opportunity, he also wants to join in.

As they continue digging, they come across a new dinosaur bone, but Takashi accidentally drops it and it shatters. Naoko comforts him and Dr. Ishii tells them that accidents happen and it's important to learn from them. Takashi cheers up and helps the group collect more bones.
At the end of the episode, Naoko realizes that Takashi may annoy her sometimes, but he is still her classmate and friend, and she should be more patient and understanding of his differences. The episode ends with Dr. Ishii showing them a dinosaur skeleton they built from the bones they collected, and Takashi admitting that it was a fun day after all.
