Ep 10. Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS

The Doctor and his companions, Clara and the brothers Gregor and Bram, find themselves trapped aboard the TARDIS when it suffers a critical malfunction and hurtles towards the centre of the time machine. The Doctor must rely on Clara, the only one with a key to the TARDIS' secrets, to navigate the sprawling interior of the ship's labyrinthine halls, avoiding various deadly traps and pitfalls along the way.

As the group delves deeper and deeper into the TARDIS, they discover a plethora of wonders and mysteries. They encounter a library filled with memory banks and historical archives, a room filled with sentient clothing and a massive engine room with engines larger than solar systems. The team is tormented by a trio of androids sent by a vicious scavenger named Van Baalen. The Doctor makes a deal with Van Baalen, who promises his assistance in exchange for the TARDIS' valuable core.

As they journey further, it soon becomes apparent that they are being stalked by a malevolent creature that has been inadvertently unleashed by their intrusion into the TARDIS' core. The Doctor and Clara delve deeper into the ship, in search of a way to stop the monster and save themselves. The creature appears to feed on time distortion, absorbing and consuming the very fabric of time and space itself.

The group is chased through an intricate web of tunnels and corridors, pursued relentlessly by the creature. They desperately search for a way to escape, encountering various obstacles, including a self-destruct sequence and a room that switches a person's brain with another person's if they step on the wrong tile. As they near the TARDIS' central console, the Doctor makes an amazing discovery that could save them all.

The Doctor and Clara finally reach the heart of the TARDIS, where they encounter a room filled with coral-like structures that are the literal arteries and veins of the time machine. The Doctor discovers that the creature is, in fact, a temporal anomaly that has been generated by the destruction of a Gallifreyan TARDIS that was trapped in the time war. The TARDIS' unique nature and powerful capabilities allowed it to absorb and trap the anomaly, which led to the disastrous malfunction that nearly destroyed the ship.

With this revelation, the Doctor realizes that the only way to defeat the creature and save the TARDIS is to reset the ship's temporal circuitry at the heart of the coral structure. The Doctor, Clara, and the Baalen brothers work feverishly to reach the centre of the heart and reset the TARDIS' temporal matrix. With seconds to spare, the circuitry is reset and the TARDIS is saved.

As the team escapes the decaying ship, the Doctor offers a solemn warning about meddling with the TARDIS. Meanwhile, the Baalen brothers abandon their previous ways and leave to start a new life. Clara and the Doctor are left to contemplate the dangers and mysteries of the TARDIS, as they continue their travels through time and space.
