Ep 6. Band of Bunnies

In season 9 episode 6 of Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER, titled Band of Bunnies, the staff at Broward Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital face an influx of rabbits with a variety of medical issues.

The episode opens with Dr. K & her team examining a rabbit named Oliver, who is suffering from a life-threatening blockage in his stomach. The episode continues with several more cases of bunnies, including a rabbit named Apollo who experiences a mysterious bout of paralysis and a mother bunny named Missy who gives birth to three tiny bunnies in need of immediate medical attention.

But the most touching and heartwarming case of the episode has to be that of two bonded bunnies, Thumper and Bumper. These two inseparable bunnies come to Dr. K's clinic after Thumper, the larger of the two, falls ill. It quickly becomes apparent that Bumper, who is visibly distressed and anxious when separated from Thumper, is also in need of medical attention.

Dr. K recognizes the bond between Thumper and Bumper, and ensures the two bunnies are kept together throughout their treatment. As she works to diagnose and treat their illnesses, we see the touching bond between these two adorable creatures. The staff works diligently to help Thumper and Bumper overcome their illnesses while keeping their friendship intact.

Throughout the episode, viewers are introduced to the dedicated staff at Broward Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital. Dr. K, a renowned veterinarian with years of experience working with exotic animals, leads the team, and her expertise and compassionate approach are on full display throughout the episode. Her fellow staff members include skilled technicians and the friendly office staff who handle the countless incoming calls, all of whom work together to ensure every animal that comes through their doors receives the best possible care.

At the end of the episode, viewers are reminded of the importance of proper care and treatment for all animals, even the smallest and seemingly insignificant.
