Over the course of the show's ten episodes, viewers were given a behind-the-scenes look at the rigorous academic and practical training these students underwent in order to become licensed veterinarians.

One of the most prominent cast members was Roger Leopardi, a driven and passionate student with dreams of working in the field of wildlife medicine. Despite the challenges he faced, Roger remained devoted to his goal of making a difference in the lives of animals both big and small.

Another standout cast member was Aziza Glass, a dedicated student with a lifelong love of horses. Aziza's journey on Vet School was marked by both triumph and tragedy, as she worked tirelessly to hone her skills as an equine veterinarian while also facing personal struggles at home. In addition to focusing on the lives of the students, Vet School also delved into the wider world of veterinary medicine, showcasing the various specialties and subfields within the profession. From emergency medicine to exotic animal care, viewers were treated to a comprehensive overview of the many different paths one could take as a veterinarian. The show's expert faculty members provided invaluable insight into the realities of the profession, offering guidance and advice to the students as they navigated their way through the challenging program.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of Vet School was its unflinching portrayal of the more difficult and emotional aspects of veterinary medicine. Throughout the series, viewers witnessed heartbreaking moments when the students were forced to confront the realities of euthanasia and terminal illness, while also experiencing the joy and fulfillment that came with healing and saving the lives of beloved pets.
