Watch Fareed Zakaria GPS Special

Fareed Zakaria GPS (Global Public Square) Weekly Public Affairs Show is hosted by jounalist and author Fareed Zakaria. The show is a news program done partly as a panel discussion and also one-on-one. Most commentators are biased by their ideology: liberal or conservative. Zakaria considers himself a centrist. "I don't say 'this is my team and I will root for them no matter what.'" Some of his one-on-one interviews have included President Barack Obama, during his Presidential candidacy, British Prime Minister, David Cameron, and Madeline Albright.

GPS goes further than most news shows, taking an in depth angle to various issues. In 2012, for example, Zakaria commented on American Gun Violence. Zakaria stated we are the only country that has an average of 70 guns per hundred people. In conclusion, he says, "We cannot change the tortured psychology of madmen like James Holmes, but what we can do is change our gun laws."
