Ep 22. Sorpresa de cumpleanos
- January 1, 2005
Fireman Sam season 1 episode 22, titled "Sorpresa de cumpleanos," revolves around the excitement and unexpected surprises during Charlie's birthday celebration. The episode begins with Charlie eagerly waiting for his friends to arrive for his birthday party. As soon as Sam and the rest of the rescue team arrive, they are greeted with balloons and decorations. Charlie also shows off his impressive cake, which he baked himself.
As the party kicks off, the children are eager to play with their favorite toys. Norman Price, however, is scheming to spoil the fun. He steals Charlie's toy airplane and hides it in the nearby woods, looking forward to seeing Charlie upset. Unknown to him, Charlie's pet rabbit has followed him to the woods, and Norman's antics causes the rabbit to become trapped in a hole.
As the guests sing "Happy Birthday" to Charlie, the team receives an emergency call. Mrs. Chen's grandson is in trouble on the river, and they need urgent assistance. Sam rushes to the scene with Elvis and Penny, while the rest of the group head back to the station to deal with the trapped rabbit.
Once Mrs. Chen's grandson is safely rescued, the team quickly gets back to the rabbit rescue mission. They use their expertise to free the animal from the hole, much to Charlie's relief. However, he is disappointed that his toy airplane is still missing.
As the rescue team and the children head back to the station, they spot the airplane stuck in a tree. Norman is quick to take credit for its discovery, but Charlie is grateful when Fireman Sam retrieves it. The group returns to the party, where the rescue team gifts Charlie with a special toy fire engine as a present.
The episode concludes with the children happily playing with their new gifts and forgetting all about Norman's troublesome antics. Charlie thanks Fireman Sam and the team for their help in making his birthday celebration a memorable one. The episode ends with Sam enjoying a piece of Charlie's delicious birthday cake with the rest of the team.
