In Episode 4 of First Dates Ireland season 2, the show continues to explore the trials and tribulations of dating. The premise remains the same; couples who have never met before are brought together in a restaurant with cameras watching as they get to know each other better over dinner.

The episode starts by introducing the first daters, Ruth and Brian. Ruth is a 27-year-old primary school teacher who is looking for someone who is kind and caring. She is matched with Brian, a 29-year-old software developer who is looking for someone who is smart and funny. The pair hit it off immediately and the conversation flows easily between them. They bond over their shared love of music and the date ends with a promise to meet up again soon.

Next up are Sarah and Mark. Sarah is a 25-year-old student who is looking for someone who is confident and outgoing. Mark is a 28-year-old personal trainer who is looking for someone who is adventurous and spontaneous. The date gets off to a rocky start when Mark accidentally spills wine on Sarah's dress, but they laugh it off and move on. Sarah is initially put off by Mark's bravado, but as the evening progresses, she finds herself drawn to his infectious energy.

The third couple to take the spotlight are Sinead and Alan. Sinead is a 31-year-old nurse who is looking for someone who is honest and trustworthy. Alan is a 35-year-old architect who is looking for someone who is passionate and spontaneous. The date starts off well, with both Sinead and Alan finding common ground in their shared love of travel. However, things take a turn for the worse when Sinead reveals that she has a fear of flying. Alan tries his best to make her feel comfortable, but the tension between them is palpable.

The final couple of the evening is Helen and Conor. Helen is a 29-year-old beautician who is looking for someone who is sensitive and caring. Conor is a 32-year-old graphic designer who is looking for someone who is creative and adventurous. The pair bond over their love of movies and books, and they find themselves lost in conversation well into the night. They both agree that they have had a great time and plan to meet up again soon.

As always, the show is full of awkward and funny moments, with the daters revealing their deepest hopes and fears as they try to navigate the tricky world of dating. Whether it's Sarah's reaction to Mark's over-the-top flirting or Sinead's fear of flying, there is never a dull moment on First Dates Ireland. The show provides a fresh and exciting take on modern dating, offering a refreshing alternative to the world of swiping left and right. The second season of First Dates Ireland continues to be a must-watch for anyone who has ever braved the world of online dating and come out the other side.
