- February 16, 2017
First Dates Ireland is a heartwarming and entertaining dating show that follows various hopeful singles as they embark on blind dates in the hopes of finding love. In season two, episode five, viewers are introduced to a diverse cast of daters who are all looking for that special someone.
The episode kicks off with the lovely Amanda, a 48-year-old MUA from Dublin, who is meeting her date David, a 51-year-old farmer from Cork. Amanda is excited but nervous, as she admits to the cameras that she hasn't been on a date in over a decade. While David is charming and makes a great first impression, Amanda has some reservations about their compatibility. Will these two be able to find common ground and hit it off?
Next up is Sean, a 25-year-old barber from Donegal, who is supposed to meet his date, 23-year-old hairdresser Karen. Sean admits to the cameras that he's looking for someone who will appreciate his sense of humor and not take themselves too seriously. While Karen is definitely a cutie, Sean finds himself struggling to connect with her during their date. Can they break the ice and find a spark?
The third couple on the show is Niamh and Andy, both 27 and both from Limerick. Niamh is a teacher, while Andy is a construction worker, and the two seem to hit it off right away. They discuss their shared love of travel and Andy admits to having a soft spot for redheads (much to Niamh's delight). As their date progresses, it becomes clear that they're both looking for something serious. Could this be the start of something special for these two?
Meanwhile, 34-year-old Erin from Kildare is getting ready to meet her date, Ciaran. Erin admits to the cameras that she's a bit nervous due to some bad dating experiences in the past. Ciaran is a fitness instructor who is initially taken aback by Erin's striking tattoos, but the two quickly find common ground over their love of music and live gigs. As the night comes to a close, will they take the next step and exchange numbers?
Last but not least, viewers will meet 27-year-old Sinead from Dublin, who is set to meet her date, 24-year-old James, who also happens to be a Dubliner. Sinead admits that she's been single for a while and is looking for someone who is kind and caring. James, meanwhile, is hopeful that he'll be able to make Sinead laugh and share some good banter. As their date unfolds, it becomes clear that they have a great connection, but will they be able to take things to the next level?
Overall, this episode of First Dates Ireland is a fun and heartwarming look at the ups and downs of modern dating. Whether you're single and looking for love or simply enjoy watching other people's romantic journeys unfold, this show is sure to satisfy. Don't miss it!
