Ep 2. Little Brother War

In Frontier season 1 episode 2, titled "Little Brother War," tensions continue to rise between the warring factions in the North American fur trade. The episode opens with Declan Harp, the half-Irish, half-Cree outlaw played by Jason Momoa, making his way back to the Great Lakes region after narrowly escaping a capture attempt by English businessman Lord Benton (Alun Armstrong) and his henchman, Captain Chesterfield (Evan Jonigkeit). Meanwhile, Michael Smyth (Landon Liboiron), a young Irishman who has gone to the New World to seek his fortune, finds himself embroiled in a conflict between two rival Cree tribes over control of a valuable beaver pelt.

As tensions mount between the Cree tribes, Michael finds himself caught in the middle of a dangerous power struggle. He also runs into trouble with a group of British soldiers led by Captain Johnson (Christian McKay), who suspect him of being a spy for the Hudson's Bay Company. Michael's only hope for survival lies with Sokanon (Jessica Matten), a tough and resourceful Cree woman who is fighting to protect her people's land and resources from both rival factions and encroaching European settlers.

Meanwhile, Declan Harp and his band of rebels are on the run from Benton and his men, who are determined to capture the outlaw and bring him to justice. As they make their way through the wilderness, Harp and his companions come across a group of Métis traders who are willing to help them evade capture. However, they soon learn that even their new allies may have ulterior motives, and that in the cutthroat world of the fur trade, no one can be trusted.

Throughout the episode, tensions between the different factions continue to escalate, setting the stage for a brutal and bloody conflict that looks set to engulf the region. As the stakes get higher and the danger increases, Michael, Sokanon, and Harp must each rely on their wits, skills, and cunning to survive in a world where violence and betrayal are the norm. Whether they can outsmart their enemies and emerge victorious remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: in the world of Frontier, there are no easy victories, and everyone must fight tooth and nail to survive.
