Ep 4. A Helmsman's Resolve

As the fourth episode of the first season of GRANBLUE FANTASY The Animation, "A Helmsman's Resolve" picks up shortly after the conclusion of the previous episode. The party of travelers, which includes the protagonist Gran, his companion Vyrn, and the skilled fighter Lyria, have agreed to travel to the island of Zinkenstill in pursuit of information about the primal beast that has been pursuing them.

However, tensions soon arise when Rackam's past catches up with him. He is confronted by an old acquaintance, who accuses Rackam of abandoning their shared dream of building a flying machine. Despite the accusations, Rackam remains steadfast in his determination to help Gran and his allies, even if it means putting his personal ambitions on hold.

As they reach the Sky Map, the group is ambushed by a group of assailants. With Rackam's expert piloting and Lyria's magical abilities, they are able to fend off the attackers and activate the Sky Map. However, their victory is short-lived as they discover that the primal beast they seek is none other than Leviathan, one of the most powerful creatures in the sky.

The episode ends on a dramatic cliffhanger as the group prepares to face off against Leviathan, with Rackam showing a newfound determination to see the mission through to the end. "A Helmsman's Resolve" serves as an action-packed and character-driven installment in the series, showcasing the bonds that can be formed in the face of adversity and the strength of will required to achieve one's goals.
