Duncan MacLeod is a 400-year-old immortal who has seen and experienced more than most human beings can hope to in their lifetimes. He's also a fearsome warrior and a kind-hearted soul who tries to use his powers for good. In "See No Evil," the 12th episode of Highlander: The Series' first season, MacLeod finds himself embroiled in a twisted plot involving a blind woman, a dangerous criminal, and a bag full of stolen money.

The episode begins with MacLeod and his friend Richie Ryan stumbling upon a group of thieves as they're robbing a convenience store. MacLeod quickly dispatches the thieves and recovers the stolen money, but one of the thieves manages to escape with a bag full of cash. Meanwhile, a blind woman named Laura has just been released from prison after serving a sentence for her involvement in a robbery years earlier. Laura is hoping to start a new life, but she quickly finds herself embroiled in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the thief who got away from MacLeod.

As it turns out, the thief is a man named Benny, who used to be Laura's partner in crime. Benny escaped from prison and is now determined to get his hands on the stolen money so he can disappear for good. Laura, however, wants nothing to do with Benny or the money. She just wants to move on with her life and leave her criminal past behind.

MacLeod, who has a soft spot for Laura, agrees to help her out and tries to protect her from Benny's violent advances. But Benny is a slippery character, and he manages to stay one step ahead of MacLeod and Laura for most of the episode. Along the way, there are plenty of fight scenes, car chases, and tense moments as MacLeod tries to outsmart Benny and protect Laura.

One of the most interesting aspects of "See No Evil" is the way it plays with the idea of blind fates. Laura is blind, both literally and figuratively, as she's unable to see the danger that Benny represents. MacLeod, on the other hand, can see everything, but he's powerless to stop certain events from taking place. There's a sense that the characters are all pawns in a larger game, and that their destinies are predetermined to some extent.

As always, the episode features plenty of flashbacks to MacLeod's past, which help to flesh out his character and provide context for some of his actions. We see MacLeod as a soldier in World War II, fighting against the Nazis, and we also see him in a more vulnerable state as a young man in Scotland. These flashbacks serve to remind us that MacLeod has lived a long and complicated life, and that his immortality is both a blessing and a curse.

All in all, "See No Evil" is a solid episode of Highlander: The Series. It's not the most groundbreaking or memorable episode of the show, but it's a well-produced and entertaining hour of television that will keep fans of the series hooked. The acting is strong, the action is exciting, and the plot is engaging enough to keep viewers guessing until the end.
