Duncan MacLeod, a 400-year-old Immortal, is back in action in "Highlander: The Series," season 1, episode 20, titled "Eye of the Beholder." With this episode, the series delves into the mind of a non-Immortal killer, as Duncan investigates a string of murders on the city's streets.

This fascination quickly turned into an obsession with Serrina, as she was the most prominent person in Magda's life.

Duncan confronts Magda at her home, and discovers that she has a surprising ally – one with his own secrets. The two work together to track down the killer before he can do any more damage. But the killer, skilled in disguises and always one step ahead, manages to strike again.

As the identity of the killer is finally revealed, Duncan is caught off guard by the realization that this person is not beyond redemption. The killer is haunted by the demons of his own past, and Duncan sees a chance to help this person find a new path. Through his actions, Duncan demonstrates that even though they may be Immortal, they are not above compassion.
