Ep 13. Something Wicked

In Highlander: The Series season 4 episode 13, titled Something Wicked, we see the return of an old friend turned enemy. Duncan MacLeod, played by Adrian Paul, finds himself tangled in a web of deceit and betrayal as he tries to protect those he loves from an unseen force.

The episode opens with MacLeod's longtime friend Joe Dawson, played by Jim Byrnes, frantically calling him for help. Dawson's daughter, whom MacLeod has known since she was a child, has gone missing and he fears the worst. MacLeod rushes to Dawson's aid, only to find out that his own girlfriend, Immortal Amanda, played by Elizabeth Gracen, has also disappeared.

As they commence their search, MacLeod and Dawson quickly realize that they are dealing with an Immortal they thought long dead. A powerful demon from their past, Kronos, played by the scary Valentine Pelka, has risen from the dead and is wreaking havoc on their world. Kronos and his band of dark Immortals seek to destroy all that MacLeod holds dear, including his loved ones and the very existence of the Highlander.

MacLeod and Dawson also enlist the help of another old friend, Methos, played by Peter Wingfield. Known as the oldest living Immortal, Methos is an expert in the ways of Immortals and is the only one who can help them defeat Kronos and his cronies. As they piece together the clues and track down Kronos, they discover that he has been planning this attack for centuries and has left a trail of destruction wherever he goes.

As the battle between good and evil heats up, MacLeod must worry not only about defeating Kronos, but also about Amanda's safety. He knows that Kronos is more than capable of using her as leverage, and he will stop at nothing to protect her.

The episode is filled with intense action scenes, as well as touching moments between the characters. MacLeod must confront his past mistakes and decide if he is willing to put everything on the line to save his loved ones. The stakes are high, and the fate of the Immortal world hangs in the balance.
