In Highlander: The Series season 4 episode 4 titled "Leader of the Pack," we see Duncan MacLeod, the immortal Scottish swordsman, getting caught up in a war between two rival werewolf clans. As he tries to stay out of it and continue his life as a peaceful antiques dealer, Duncan is drawn into the conflict when he rescues a young werewolf named Lucas who is being hunted by his own clan.
Lucas tells Duncan that he wants to leave the werewolf life behind and start a new one with his human girlfriend, but he needs Duncan's help to do so. Duncan is hesitant to get involved, but he sympathizes with Lucas and agrees to help him.
As Duncan tries to protect Lucas and keep him out of harm's way, he comes face to face with the leader of the rival werewolf clan, Marcus Korolus. Marcus is determined to destroy Lucas and anyone who stands in his way, including Duncan.
The two men engage in an epic battle, with swords clashing and sparks flying. As the fight intensifies, Duncan realizes that Marcus is not just a simple werewolf leader but is in fact an immortal like himself. He is shocked by this revelation and knows that defeating Marcus will be a difficult task.
Meanwhile, Lucas's girlfriend, Laura, is also drawn into the conflict as Marcus's clan targets her in an attempt to lure Lucas back into the pack. Laura refuses to be a pawn in Marcus's game and fights back, even as her life hangs in the balance.
As the tension rises and the battle between these two powerful immortals reaches its climax, Duncan realizes that he may have bitten off more than he can chew. He must use all of his fighting skills and wits to defeat Marcus and protect those he has come to care for.
In the end, the battle is won, but not without casualties. Duncan is left to ponder the cost of immortality and the toll it takes on those around him. As he walks away from the conflict, he knows that he can never truly escape the world of the immortals and their never-ending battles.
