In "Highlander: The Series" Season 4 Episode 9 "The Wrath of Kali", immortals Duncan MacLeod and Methos are in India researching the legend of the Immortal Kali. They soon find out that the legend is in fact true when a group of Kali worshippers, including their leader Kamir, attack them in the streets. Kamir believes that Duncan and Methos are sent to kill Kali and he wants to protect her at any cost.
Duncan and Methos try to explain that they are not there to harm Kali, but to learn from her. They manage to escape, but not before Duncan is stabbed with poison and the only way to save him is to seek help from Kali herself. They are able to find Kali, but she refuses to help them and tells them that they should leave India immediately. However, they soon learn that leaving India is not an option, as Kamir and his men are hot on their trail.
As they continue to be pursued by Kamir, Duncan and Methos learn more about Kali and her beliefs. Kali believes in the concept of balance in the universe and that there must be equal amounts of good and evil in order to maintain that balance. Kamir and his followers believe that Kali is the only one who can restore balance by killing immortals who they see as evil. Duncan and Methos try to reason with Kamir, but he is too blinded by his beliefs to listen.
The situation becomes more dire when Kali's daughter, Indra, is kidnapped by Kamir and his men. Kali is unwilling to risk Indra's life, but Duncan and Methos convince her to help them rescue Indra. They successfully rescue her, but not before Kamir kills an innocent immortal, believing that he is evil.
In the end, Duncan, Methos, Kali, and Indra are able to defeat Kamir and restore balance. Kali realizes that she cannot simply stand by and watch as innocent lives are taken in the name of balance. She decides to leave India and start anew somewhere else, with Indra by her side.
Overall, "The Wrath of Kali" is a thought-provoking episode that explores the concept of balance and the lengths that people will go to in order to maintain it. It also highlights the importance of listening to others and being open-minded, even when their beliefs differ from our own.
