As the sixth episode of the second season of House of Ho begins, everyone is preparing for the Tan's annual charity gala. This event is especially important to the family since it honors the memory of the late patriarch, Binh Ho. The family members are all working hard to make sure everything goes smoothly, including cleaning the house, setting the tables, and preparing the food.
The first few minutes of the episode follow the family as they ready themselves for the gala. Mama Ho is especially nervous, as she is the one who took over managing the event after Binh's passing. She wants everything to be perfect and is putting a lot of pressure on herself to get it right. Meanwhile, Leslie and Jada are working on a special dance performance that they will perform at the event.
Once everyone is ready, they head to the gala. The event is held in a beautiful ballroom with elegant decorations, and the guests are all dressed in their finest attire. The Tan family makes a grand entrance and greets all the guests warmly. Mama Ho takes the microphone to give a speech in honor of Binh, and there's not a dry eye in the house.
As the night goes on, the family members all try to enjoy themselves while making sure that the event runs smoothly. Mama Ho spends most of her time running around and making sure everything is in order, but she does manage to take a few breaks to dance with her family. Meanwhile, Jada and Leslie's dance performance is a big hit, and they receive a standing ovation.
Towards the end of the night, tensions begin to rise as a disagreement breaks out between Mama Ho and Elizabeth regarding a business deal. Mama Ho is upset with Elizabeth for taking too long to close a deal, while Elizabeth insists that she's doing everything she can. Mama Ho eventually storms off, frustrated and disappointed.
After the event is over, the family members all head back to the Tan mansion to decompress. Mama Ho is still upset about the disagreement with Elizabeth and vents to her children about it. Washington tries to calm her down and reminds her that they all have each other's backs. The family members all reaffirm their support for one another, and the tension dissipates.
As the episode comes to a close, we see the family members all going to bed, exhausted but content. Despite the stress and tension of the event, the family came together to honor Binh's memory and support each other in their endeavors. The gala was a success, and the family members all feel closer as a result.
