- June 14, 2016
In “Idiotest” season 3, episode 20, titled “Friends vs. Personal Trainers,” two teams go head-to-head to solve a series of brain teasers and puzzles. The first team, “Friends,” consists of a group of young adults who have been friends for several years. The second team, “Personal Trainers,” consists of a group of fitness professionals who work together at a gym.
The episode kicks off with host Ben Gleib explaining the rules to both teams. Each round consists of multiple-choice questions, and the players must work together to come up with the correct answer. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins a cash prize.
The first round is a warm-up round and consists of five multiple-choice questions. The questions cover a range of topics, from pop culture to science. The teams strategize and come up with their answers. The Friends team gets off to a strong start, correctly answering four out of five questions. The Personal Trainers team struggles a bit, only getting two out of five questions correct.
The second round is where things start to get more challenging. This round is called “Celebrity Idiotest,” and the questions revolve around celebrities and gossip. The teams must correctly identify the celebrity in a series of pictures, and then answer multiple-choice questions about that celebrity. The Friends team excels in this round, correctly identifying all of the celebrities and answering most of the questions correctly. The Personal Trainers team struggles once again, only getting half of the questions correct.
In the third round, “Roaming Gnomes,” the teams must look at a series of pictures and identify which gnome is different from the others. The questions get progressively harder as the round goes on, and the gnomes become more difficult to spot. Both teams struggle in this round, but the Personal Trainers team manages to pull ahead, getting four out of five questions correct.
The fourth round is called “Food and Drink,” and the questions revolve around different types of cuisine and alcoholic beverages. The teams must again answer multiple-choice questions, and this time they have the opportunity to earn extra points by correctly identifying a series of pictures of food and drink. The Friends team dominates in this round, correctly answering almost all of the questions and identifying most of the pictures correctly.
In the final round, “The Sequence,” the teams must figure out a series of puzzles and brain teasers that are related to one another. The puzzles get increasingly difficult, and the tension in the room is palpable as the teams race against the clock to solve them. The Personal Trainers team manages to get one of the puzzles correct, but the Friends team pulls ahead and wins the game.
Overall, “Idiotest” season 3, episode 20, is a fast-paced and entertaining game show that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The puzzles and brain teasers are challenging but not impossible, and the teams’ banter and teamwork make for great viewing.
