In Judge Faith season 3 episode 20 titled "Ex Money Pit; Brawl In Law," we see two different cases being presented in front of Judge Faith. In the first case, a woman named Emily is the plaintiff and her ex-boyfriend, Ryan, is the defendant. Emily is suing Ryan for the money she had to spend on fixing up the house they had bought together, which turned out to be a money pit. Emily claims that when they purchased the house together, they had agreed to split all the expenses equally. However, Ryan stopped contributing to the maintenance of the house and it was left up to Emily to shoulder all the costs. Emily says that she paid for a new roof, new windows, and a new septic tank among other expenses. She is asking for Ryan to pay her back for the half he owes.

Ryan, on the other hand, claims that Emily is exaggerating and asking for too much money. He says that he paid for some of the renovations too but did not keep any receipts as he trusted her. According to Ryan, there was no verbal agreement to split expenses, and he has already contributed enough.

The second case presented in the episode involves two brothers, Matt and Pete. Matt is suing Pete for damages caused by a physical fight they had. Matt claims that he invited Pete to stay at his apartment, but due to Pete's violent behavior, he asked him to leave. When Pete refused to leave, Matt called the police. However, before the police could arrive, Pete assaulted Matt and caused damage to the apartment. Matt is suing Pete for the cost of the damages.

Pete claims that he was only defending himself and his actions were justified. According to him, Matt had a weapon in his hand and was threatening him with it. Pete says that he only got physical in order to protect himself and did not intend to cause any damage.

The episode then proceeds with Judge Faith hearing both sides of the argument in each case and coming to a decision. In the first case, she examines the evidence presented by both parties and comes to a conclusion about the verbal agreement they had. In the second case, she looks at the evidence presented by both parties, including photos of the damages caused, and comes to a decision about who is liable.

Throughout the episode, Judge Faith remains fair and impartial, asking appropriate questions, and making sound decisions based on the evidence presented. The cases presented in the episode shed light on the importance of clear communication, trust, and respect in relationships. It also highlights the importance of being responsible and accountable for one's actions.
