In this episode of Judge Faith, titled "In Running, Out Running; Kindness for Weakness," two separate cases are presented for Judge Faith Jenkins to preside over.
In the first case, a young woman is suing her former roommate for unpaid rent and damages to her apartment. The plaintiff claims that the defendant abruptly moved out, leaving her with several months' worth of unpaid rent and a broken closet door. The defendant, on the other hand, argues that the plaintiff was frequently absent and inaccessible when she needed to discuss rent payments, and that the damage to the closet door was pre-existing.
As the case unfolds, Judge Faith must weigh the evidence presented by each side and determine who is truly at fault. She listens intently as both parties share their perspectives and ultimately comes to a decision that will hopefully be fair and just for everyone involved.
The second case is equally contentious, pitting a landlord against a former tenant who claims that she was unfairly evicted. The tenant argues that she was caught up in a difficult financial situation and unable to pay rent on time, but that she had worked out a payment plan with her landlord. She claims that she was then evicted without warning, leaving her with nowhere to turn.
Meanwhile, the landlord maintains that the tenant was consistently late with rent payments and that he gave her ample warning before taking legal action. As the case unfolds, Judge Faith must again navigate a complex web of evidence and testimony in order to make the right decision.
Throughout these two cases, Judge Faith Jenkins proves herself to be an astute and compassionate judge, carefully considering each argument and striving to maintain an equitable balance between the parties involved. Will justice be served? Tune in to find out.
