Ep 10. Some Day

In Kidding season 1 episode 10, titled "Some Day," Jeff Piccirillo (played by Jim Carrey) struggles to come to terms with the loss of his son, Phil. He begins to spiral even further into his depression, withdrawing from those around him and sinking into a dark place. However, he is eventually confronted by his sister Didi (played by Catherine Keener), who tries to help him snap out of it and move forward. Meanwhile, Deirdre (played by Catherine Keener) and Scott (played by Bernard White) face a setback in their plans to have another child, causing tension in their marriage. Jeff's father, Sebastian (played by Frank Langella), also returns and tries to help the family heal after their devastating loss.

As Jeff deals with his grief, he begins to question the sincerity of those around him. He withdraws from work and spends most of his time alone in his apartment, drinking and watching old episodes of his show. With each passing day, he becomes more distant and unresponsive to the world around him. His sister, Didi, becomes increasingly concerned about his well-being, and tries to reach out to him in a series of heartfelt conversations.

As the season nears its end, the characters face their toughest challenges yet. Deirdre struggles to come to terms with the possibility of never having another child, and Scott tries to support her as best he can. Meanwhile, Jeff's journey towards acceptance of Phil's death takes a sudden turn when he makes a startling discovery that changes everything he thought he knew about both himself and his family. The season finale promises to be an emotional rollercoaster for fans of the show, as the characters are forced to grapple with their losses and move forward into an uncertain future.
