Ep 3. Don't I Know You

Eve, still reeling from the previous events, decides to focus on the psychopathic assassin, Villanelle. She heads to Berlin with colleague Bill to investigate a murder that has the hallmarks of Villanelle’s work. Villanelle, however, has already found her next target and is keeping an eye on her.

Eve and Bill arrive in Berlin and are met by the local police and a German intelligence agency agent. Eve and Bill update them on the latest victim's injuries, but are surprised by the lack of shock they receive. They realize that Villanelle has been active in the area for a while and is most likely known by the locals.

Back in Russia, Villanelle is tracking down her next target, a wealthy Italian woman named Carla. Villanelle infiltrates Carla's life by posing as a friend and eventually rents an apartment from her. In doing so, she discovers a significant piece of information that will aid in her next kill.

Meanwhile, Carolyn, Eve's MI6 boss, arrives in Berlin and meets with Eve and Bill. Carolyn shares her knowledge of Villanelle as well as her frustration with the way Eve is handling the investigation. She has the feeling that Eve is too wrapped up in catching Villanelle and doesn’t care as much about the victims as she should. Carolyn tells Eve to take a step back and to consider the bigger picture.

Eve takes Carolyn’s words to heart and starts to realize that her obsession with Villanelle is clouding her judgement. She refocuses and starts to investigate the case with a fresh perspective. They discover that one of Villanelle's former targets, Nadia, survived and fled to Berlin. They head to Nadia's apartment and discover disturbing evidence that Villanelle has been keeping tabs on her targets.

Eve and Bill's investigation leads them to a nightclub where they come face to face with Villanelle. The tension is palpable as they try to catch her, but Villanelle is a step ahead and manages to disappear. However, she leaves behind a clue that leads them to Carla, her next target.

Eve and Bill rush to prevent Villanelle from killing Carla. They discover that Villanelle has been posing as a cleaner in Carla's apartment building. After a tense confrontation, Villanelle manages to escape yet again, leaving Eve frustrated and more determined to succeed.

Back at their hotel, Eve receives a call from Villanelle. The two engage in a tense conversation and Villanelle reveals that she is aware of Eve's obsession with her. The call ends with Villanelle telling Eve that they will meet again soon.

As the episode ends, it's clear that things are escalating quickly and Villanelle is becoming bolder in her actions. Eve is caught between her duty as an investigator and her growing obsession with the elusive assassin. The tension between the two will undoubtedly come to a head as the season progresses.
