Ep 2. Tell Them I Said Something...

In season 1 episode 2 of Looking for Alaska, titled "Tell Them I Said Something," Miles continues to adjust to his new school and also gets closer to Alaska. They hang out more around the campus, and Miles starts to feel like he truly belongs there. However, his suspicions about why Alaska is so guarded continue to nag at him. One day, the group of friends – Alaska, Miles, Chip, Takumi, and Lara – gather around the lake and share their deepest fears and confessions. Alaska decides to describe her own personal hell scenario, which leaves the others shaken but also closer as a group. That night, Miles overhears Alaska crying and goes to comfort her. They share a moment of vulnerability and understanding before slipping into an intimate moment. However, Alaska pulls away suddenly and goes back to her room alone. Miles is left confused and heartbroken, unsure of where he stands with Alaska and how to move forward. The episode ends with Miles trying to decipher what it all means while also dealing with a classmate who seems to dislike him for no apparent reason.
