Man Caves Season 7 Episode 5 Boardwalk Cave

Two best friends and neighbors, Kevin and Chris have always been competitive. Kevin has a nice house, but Chris has a pool, so Kevin decides to build a pool cave to one-up his friend. He enlists the help of licensed contractor Tony "The Goose" Siragusa and designer Jason Cameron to create the ultimate Boardwalk Cave.

The Boardwalk Cave is inspired by the iconic boardwalks of the Jersey Shore, and combines elements of amusement parks, beach houses, and classic bars to create a one-of-a-kind man cave. The focal point of the room is a 12-foot-tall "carnival-style" sign that reads "Boardwalk Cave" in neon lights.

The team gets to work creating a custom bar, complete with a beer kegerator, custom stools, and reclaimed wood paneling. They also install a commercial-grade popcorn machine and a vintage popcorn cart for that authentic boardwalk experience.

For entertainment, the guys decide on a vintage pinball machine and a classic arcade game. But they really want to go all out with a custom 4-player racing simulator that will allow them to compete against each other in their favorite video game, Need for Speed.

The biggest challenge is figuring out how to incorporate the pool into the design. They come up with the idea of building a retractable platform that will cover the pool and allow the guys to use it as a dance floor or stage for karaoke. The platform is also equipped with underwater lights, so it can be used as a stage for synchronized swimming shows.

Finally, they add some finishing touches to the room, including a custom mural of the Jersey Shore on one wall, an adjustable mood lighting system, and plenty of quirky decor, like a giant wooden shark and a vintage surfboard.

When Kevin and Chris see the finished Boardwalk Cave, they are blown away. The room has everything they could want in a man cave and more. They immediately start planning their first party, and are sure that the Boardwalk Cave will be the talk of the neighborhood.
