In season 2 episode 19 of Man v. Food with Adam Richman, viewers are taken on a culinary adventure in Hartford, Connecticut. Richman begins his journey at a restaurant called Woody's, known for their enormous chili cheese hotdog. The hotdog is made with a quarter-pound all-beef hotdog, smothered in Woody's homemade chili and melted cheese. Richman takes on the challenge of eating two of these massive hotdogs, but will he be able to handle the heat and conquer the challenge?

Next up, Richman heads to a local diner called Pepe's, which has been serving up classic American breakfasts since 1909. Richman tries the Hash and Egg Special, a dish consisting of golden hash browns topped with two fried eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. Richman also tries some of Pepe's famous homemade corned beef hash, which has been a staple on the menu for generations.

After breakfast, Richman visits a family-owned Italian restaurant called Carmen Anthony Steakhouse. The restaurant is known for their huge portions and amazing steaks, so Richman couldn't resist trying their famous 56-ounce Porterhouse steak. This massive steak is cooked to perfection and served with sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Richman must finish the entire steak within an hour, but will he be able to conquer this daunting challenge?

For dessert, Richman visits Modern Pastry Shop, a bakery that has been a staple in Hartford's Italian-American community since 1934. Richman tries a variety of their delicious pastries, including cannolis and sfogliatelle. Richman is blown away by the quality and taste of these pastries and can't resist taking a few home with him.

The final stop on Richman's Hartford food tour takes him to Black-Eyed Sally's BBQ and Blues, a restaurant that combines two of America's greatest passions, music and barbecue. Richman tries their Ultimate Rib Challenge, which consists of five pounds of ribs and sides of slaw, baked beans, and cornbread. Richman must finish this enormous platter of food in under an hour and become the first person to complete the challenge.

Throughout the episode, viewers get a taste of Hartford's unique culinary offerings and learn about the history and traditions that have shaped the city's food scene. Richman's enthusiasm for food and love for exploring new flavors and tastes is evident in every bite he takes. Will he be able to conquer all the food challenges Hartford has to offer?
