Ep 9. Doomsday

The show Marvel's Runaways season 1 episode 9, titled "Doomsday", follows the teenagers as they deal with the aftermath of their parents' plans for the ritual they interrupted in the previous episode. While some of the parents seem remorseful for their actions, others are focused on completing the ceremony at any cost. Meanwhile, Alex is still determined to use the information he found in his father's study to take down Pride.

As the Runaways try to come up with a plan, they realize that they have been followed by the mysterious man in the mask, who is revealed to be a former member of the cult who wants to help them take down Pride. His name is Jonah, and he's also Karolina's biological father. However, the Runaways are hesitant to trust him, especially since he seems to have his own agenda.

Things come to a head when Pride gathers for the final ritual, which they believe will save the world from an impending apocalypse. The Runaways sneak into the building where the ceremony is taking place, but they are quickly discovered by their parents. A chaotic fight breaks out, and the teenagers are forced to use their powers to defend themselves.

As the battle rages on, the teenagers start to see their parents' true colors. Some of them, like Gert's parents, try to convince their children to join them and become part of the family business. Others, like Nico's parents, seem genuinely remorseful for their actions and try to help their children escape.

Eventually, the Runaways are able to escape with the help of Jonah and some unexpected allies. However, they are left reeling from the revelation that their parents were willing to sacrifice innocent lives to achieve their goals. They also realize that they will need to work together and trust each other if they want to stop Pride from carrying out their plans.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with the Runaways on the run and unsure of what their next move should be. They have thwarted Pride's plans for the time being, but they know that the organization is still out there and planning something big. The episode sets the stage for an explosive season finale, where the teenagers will face their biggest challenge yet.
