Ep 1. Gimmie Shelter

In the season 2 premiere of Marvel's Runaways, titled "Gimmie Shelter," the teenage superheroes are on the run after discovering their parents are part of a sinister organization known as Pride. As they try to uncover the truth behind their parents' actions, they must also navigate their own relationships and newfound powers.

The episode opens with the Runaways scattered across Los Angeles, each trying to evade the authorities and stay hidden from their parents' reach. Nico (Lyrica Okano) is staying with Gert (Ariela Barer) and Molly (Allegra Acosta) in the Stein family mansion. The three girls argue over whether or not to trust Alex (Rhenzy Feliz), who had previously betrayed them to Pride, but who claims he wants to help them now.

Meanwhile, Karolina (Virginia Gardner) and Chase (Gregg Sulkin) are living rough on the streets, stealing food and trying to make ends meet. They are struggling not only with the physical hardships of living off the grid, but also with their romantic feelings for each other. Karolina is still coming to terms with the fact that she has powers and is unsure how to control them.

As the episode progresses, the Runaways begin to realize that they can't stay on the run forever. They need to find a way to take down Pride and clear their names, or risk being hunted down by their own parents.

One interesting subplot in this episode revolves around Molly, who discovers that she has super strength. She struggles to keep her powers a secret from her friends, and also finds herself having to confront the reality that her parents may not be the people she thought they were.

Throughout the episode, the Runaways are pursued by a new character, Detective Flores (Terrence Mann), who has been assigned to track them down. Flores is a hard-nosed cop who seems to have a personal vendetta against the Runaways, and will stop at nothing to bring them in.

Overall, "Gimmie Shelter" sets up an intriguing second season for Marvel's Runaways, with plenty of action, drama, and character development. The show continues to explore themes of family, power, and loyalty, as the young heroes struggle to find their place in a world where their own parents are the villains. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and teen dramas alike will find plenty to enjoy in this episode.
