In Metalocalypse season 4 episode 2 titled Diversityklok, the band Dethklok is forced to attend a meeting on diversity and inclusivity to avoid a lawsuit. However, their eccentric and offensive behavior causes more harm than good.

The episode begins with Dethklok's manager, Charles Offdensen, informing the band that they have been summoned to attend a meeting on diversity and inclusivity by the Diversity Council, a group that organizes events to promote cultural sensitivity and social justice. The meeting is mandatory for all businesses in the city, and failure to attend could result in a lawsuit.

Dethklok is initially uninterested in attending the meeting and dismisses it as a waste of time. However, when they realize the potential legal consequences, they reluctantly agree to go. They arrive at the Diversity Council building, where they are greeted by a panel of representatives from various marginalized communities.

The Dethklok members are immediately put off by the overly PC and bureaucratic atmosphere of the meeting. As the panel begins to discuss issues of diversity and cultural sensitivity, Dethklok starts to make inappropriate jokes and comments, to the dismay of the panel and Offdensen.

As the meeting progresses, things only get worse. Dethklok's attempts at appealing to different cultures are misguided and insensitive, and their outright offensive behavior ends up offending most of the panel members.

In a moment of panic, Offdensen attempts to regain control of the meeting by introducing Dethklok's new diversity initiative, "We Are the World-azaam," a poorly thought-out community outreach program. The band performs a song that is supposed to celebrate diversity but ends up coming across as a parody.

The Diversity Council is not amused and Dethklok is almost sued until they make a last-ditch effort to make things right. The band members apologize for their behavior and agree to a series of community service projects to make amends for their past insensitivity.

Diversityklok highlights the issue of performative activism, and how often times corporations (and in this case, a band) will go to lengths to "prove" they are trying to do better but forget to back up their actions with meaningful efforts. Dethklok's constant blunders showcase how even those who have a platform to speak on behalf of minority groups often get it wrong, but they also illustrate how important it is for those with privilege to check themselves and work to become better allies.

Overall, Diversityklok is a great example of how dark humor can be used to address social issues and the importance of actual action over lip service.
