However, something strange has been happening: people who come into possession of a rare and valuable gemstone known as the Dragon Stone, which brings good luck and fortune to its owner, suddenly fall ill and die.

Ginko suspects that there is a connection between the Dragon Stone and a mysterious type of mushi, or supernatural entity. He sets out to investigate and eventually meets a young girl named Osuzu, who is in possession of the Dragon Stone. Despite Ginko's warning that the stone is dangerous, Osuzu insists on keeping it because it provides her with the means to support her family.

As Ginko delves deeper into the mystery, he discovers the true nature of the mushi that has been causing the deaths. It turns out that the mushi live inside the Dragon Stone and, when someone possesses it, they are unknowingly carrying the mushi inside of them. The mushi feed off of the host's good luck and bring misfortune to those around them in order to sustain themselves.

Ginko must find a way to remove the mushi without harming Osuzu or destroying the Dragon Stone, which is a rare and valuable natural resource. He enlists the help of a local craftsperson who creates a special tool that can extract the mushi. With this tool in hand, Ginko prepares to perform a risky and dangerous procedure that will save Osuzu's life and prevent the mushi from causing further harm.

The episode is a thrilling and thought-provoking exploration of the complex relationship between humans and the supernatural. It raises questions about the cost of greed and the dangers of relying too heavily on external sources of fortune and luck.
