My Kitchen Rules returns with another exciting episode for season 3 which is the Redemption Round: David & Scott. After facing a bitter elimination at the hands of Pat & Bianca, David and Scott have now got the opportunity to make a comeback through the Redemption Round. So they must stand up to the challenge and put their culinary skills to the test if they want to move ahead in the competition.
David and Scott have chosen to host an Instant Restaurant in their own home which should reflect their personalities, culinary experience and knowledge. The restaurant must impress the judge's and their fellow contestants who will be dining at the table.
To begin with, David and Scott welcome their guests with cocktails made from premium ingredients and served in beautiful glasses. The judges are impressed with the creativity, presentation and the taste of the cocktails as they enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere at the restaurant.
The appetizer course is next and David and Scott present an authentic Malayan cuisine, which reflects their multi-cultural culinary expertise. They have chosen to prepare Chicken Satay and paired it with a delicious homemade peanut sauce. The chicken is marinated in coconut milk and a variety of herbs and spices that leaves the judges wanting more.
The main course is held to a higher standard and David and Scott decide to present the judges with a delightful seafood dish consisting of barramundi fillets, which are locally sourced and cooked to perfection. The judges appreciate the freshness of the fish and enjoy the perfect blend of spices and aromatics, creating a perfect balmy taste.
As the night continues, David and Scott serve up the dessert course to their guests. They present a fancy creation known as the Chocolate Torte with Raspberry Sorbet which challenges the tastebuds. The main component in the dish is the chocolate which has been grown, harvested and processed on the tropical island of Vanuatu which includes a high grade of cocoa beans. The judges feel the texture of the torte to be perfect and feel the warmth of the chocolate while rejoicing the fruity flavour of the raspberry sorbet.
As David and Scott try to gather their thoughts, the judges evaluate the overall dining experience including service, atmosphere and of course the food. They discuss all aspects of the restaurant and provide their valuable feedback. The remarks are encouraging and critical, taking a swipe at the positive factor in the boys' cooking abilities.
In conclusion, David and Scott have come a long way after being eliminated earlier in the competition. They have put their heart and soul into this dinner service. If their performance is strong enough, they will move onto the next round of the competition.
