NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
- 2 Seasons
This version of NASCAR racing is one of the oldest seen. It is one of two open-wheel divisions. Events are usually seen in the northeast part of the country. In 2007 and 2008, the series expanded to include areas in the Midwest. The Southern Tour began in 2005. Most races take place on oval tracks, but there are a few that are true road courses with left and right turns. There are about four tracks where you will see the two series combine together for one large event. There is no longer an elite division in the series. Many of the modified drivers go on to race in other NASCAR events. Both of the modified tours use the same rules, so it is easy to follow the races while watching on television.
