The show Nightflyers is a sci-fi thriller set in the future, revolving around a group of humans on a mission to make contact with an alien race. In season 1, episode 4 titled "White Rabbit," the crew of the Nightflyer is still struggling to make any headway in their mission as they continue to encounter multiple roadblocks. The episode opens with the crew gathering to mourn yet another loss - the ship's doctor, Agatha (played by Kennedy McMann), who was killed in the previous episode.

The mood on the Nightflyer is tense as the remaining crew members try to come to terms with their mounting losses. However, tensions between members of the crew are only increasing. In particular, the relationship between Thale (played by Sam Strike), a telepathic member of the crew, and D'Branin (played by Eoin Macken), the scientist leading the mission, is becoming more and more fraught. Thale's powers have been growing stronger, and D'Branin is becoming increasingly worried about the potential uses that someone with Thale's abilities could be put to in the wrong hands.

Meanwhile, Lommie (played by Maya Eshet), the ship's engineer and programmer, is struggling with her own set of issues. She's been having visions that are growing more and more vivid, and is starting to feel like she's losing her mind. She confides in Melantha (played by Jodie Turner-Smith), a genetically enhanced member of the crew, about her concerns, but Melantha seems more focused on her own issues - namely, her growing attraction to D'Branin despite his growing interest in another crew member, Rowan (played by Angus Sampson).

As the episode progresses, the crew's problems continue to mount. When Lommie goes missing, everyone begins to fear for her safety, especially since she's been acting so erratically lately. Meanwhile, D'Branin's obsession with the alien race they're trying to make contact with is starting to border on madness. He's convinced that the aliens are the only ones who can save humanity from itself, and is willing to risk his own life to make contact with them. However, his increasingly erratic behavior is starting to make the other crew members nervous.

As the situation on the Nightflyer continues to spiral out of control, the crew realizes that they have to take drastic measures to survive. In order to protect themselves, they begin to turn on one another, forming alliances and even resorting to violence in some cases. With tensions running high and the fate of the mission hanging in the balance, the crew must find a way to come together and work as a team if they want to have any hope of seeing it through to the end.

Overall, "White Rabbit" is a tense and gripping episode of Nightflyers that showcases the growing tensions between the crew members as they struggle to find a way forward. The themes of isolation, paranoia, and madness that have been present throughout the series so far are all present here in full force, and the result is a thrilling and engaging hour of television. Fans of sci-fi and suspense will no doubt find plenty to love in this latest installment of the series.
