Ep 15. Steroid Roy

In episode 15 of NYPD Blue season 1, titled "Steroid Roy," the team faces a tough case when a body is discovered in a car parked in a deserted area. The victim is a high school football player and it is revealed that he was using steroids to enhance his performance on the field. The investigation leads to Roy Larson, who is suspected of supplying steroids to the victim and other students at the school.

Detectives Kelly and Sipowicz begin to question Roy, but he denies any involvement in the case. However, it becomes apparent that he is lying when he is caught with large amounts of steroids in his possession. As they continue to investigate, they learn that Roy has been using the steroids himself and has become a major dealer in the area.

Meanwhile, Detective Martinez is struggling to cope with the aftermath of a shooting that occurred in a previous episode. He is still suffering from PTSD and begins to spiral out of control, putting himself and others in danger. His colleagues become concerned and try to intervene, but he pushes them away and continues to self-destruct.

Back to the main case, Kelly and Sipowicz realize that they have to lure Roy into confessing by using his own addiction against him. They convince him to wear a wire and meet with his supplier, hoping to catch them both in the act. Their plan works, and Roy confesses everything on tape.

In the end, justice is served as both Roy and his supplier are arrested and charged with their crimes. Martinez manages to get the help he needs and begins to recover from his trauma.
