Ep 2. 4B or Not 4B

Four detectives, Andy Sipowicz, John Kelly, James Martinez, and Greg Medavoy, work at the 15th Precinct of the NYPD. In episode two of season one, titled "4B or Not 4B," Sipowicz and Kelly investigate a murder case in a condemned building with the address 4B. The victim is the superintendent, who was known to be corrupt and had some money hidden in his apartment. The detectives find some clues that point towards the victim's past business partners, but all of them have alibis.

Meanwhile, Medavoy and Martinez work on a case of harassment involving a man who keeps harassing a woman in her workplace. The detectives bring in the man for questioning, but he denies the allegations. They then try to set a trap for him by having the woman wear a wire, but the plan doesn't go as expected. Things get out of hand when the man attacks the woman in the office, which results in Martinez arresting him.

Back at the 4B case, Sipowicz and Kelly dig deeper and find out that the victim's wife may have been involved in the murder. They bring her in for questioning, but she doesn't reveal anything. Later, they find out that the victim's wife was cheating on him with the same business partners who were suspected earlier. They confront her with the evidence, and she finally confesses to the murder.

The episode also touches on the tension between Sipowicz and Kelly. Sipowicz has a drinking problem and had issues with Kelly in the past, but they put their differences aside to focus on solving the case. However, the tension is still there, and it escalates when Kelly manipulates Sipowicz into revealing some sensitive information about himself.
