Richard and Christopher are two extreme hoarders living in their cluttered flat in London. Michele and Richard are two obsessive-compulsive cleaners who have their own cleanliness routines that they follow to the letter. In this episode, they are brought together to see if they can tackle the mess that Richard and Christopher have allowed to accumulate in their home.

Upon arriving at the flat, Michele and Richard are shocked at the state of the clutter and grime everywhere. Richard and Christopher have hoarded everything from newspapers to clothes to furniture, leaving very little room for anything else. The cleaners immediately get to work, putting on protective gear and diving into the mess. They start by sorting through the piles and piles of items, deciding what is worth keeping and what needs to be thrown away.

As they sort, they come across more and more hidden messes, such as mold growing in the bathroom and a cockroach infestation in the kitchen. Michele and Richard bring in outside help to deal with these problems, but they continue to work tirelessly to clear away the clutter and deep clean the apartment.

While the hoarders watch on, Michele and Richard do their best to explain to them why they need to let go of some of their possessions. They use their knowledge of psychology and cognitive-behavioral therapy to try and help the hoarders understand why they hold onto things that are no longer useful or important. They help them see that their hoarding is not only affecting their own lives, but also the lives of those around them.

Despite the emotional toll that this cleanup takes on the hoarders, the cleaners are able to stick to their task and make real progress in the apartment. By the end of the episode, Richard and Christopher are amazed at the transformation that their home has undergone and grateful for the help that Michele and Richard have provided.

Overall, this episode of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners showcases the extreme ends of the spectrum when it comes to cleanliness and hoarding.
