Ep 28. A Not-So-Flying Start!

  • August 22, 2015

Ash and his gang of friends have traveled to a city named Couriway Town. They were all excited to explore the area and meet new Pokemon species. Upon arriving, Ash encountered a young boy named Gogo who was flying a blue bird Pokemon with a propeller on its head. Gogo claimed that the bird Pokemon could not fly, even though it was labeled a Flying-type Pokemon.

Ash's curiosity got the better of him, and he challenged Gogo to a battle. Gogo accepted, and the two trainers faced off in a one-on-one battle. Gogo's bird Pokemon, named Bunnelby, was unable to fly and had to resort to attacks from the ground. Ash, on the other hand, had his Flying-type Noibat that could easily take to the air. During the battle, Ash quickly realized that Bunnelby's inability to fly was caused by a damaged propeller on its head.

After the battle, Gogo expressed his disappointment in Bunnelby's inability to fly and revealed that he had been using the Pokemon to fly since he was a young child, hoping to become a professional pilot in the future. Despite numerous attempts to fix the damaged propeller, Bunnelby still could not fly. Gogo was afraid to become a pilot without flying experience, and his dreams seemed shattered due to his Pokemon's poor performance.

Ash and his friends decided to help Gogo and took him to visit a nearby workshop where they hoped to find a replacement part for Bunnelby's propeller. At the workshop, they encountered a mechanic named Ed who recognized Bunnelby's propeller and claimed that he could fix it. However, the new propeller required four screws, and Ed only had three in his possession.

The group then decided to split up and search for the missing screw to fix Bunnelby's propeller, hoping to see Gogo fulfill his dream of becoming a pilot. Ash and Serena headed out into the nearby forest while Bonnie and Clemont searched in town. During their search, they encountered various Pokemon, including a pack of Mankey who stole their screws.

After overcoming various obstacles and defeating a strange, shadowy figure, the group returned to Ed's workshop with the missing screw and watched as Bunnelby's propeller was fixed. Gogo was overjoyed to see his beloved Pokemon take to the skies. In the end, he no longer doubted his dream of becoming a pilot because with Bunnelby able to fly he felt he now had a fighting chance to succeed.
