Each team was tasked with hunting for a specific set of clues and solving riddles to reach the final destination where the treasure was hidden.

The treasure hunt takes them through various locations across Akala Island, including a beautiful flower garden, a bustling market, and a spooky abandoned mine. Along the way, they encounter several challenges and obstacles, such as avoiding a group of attacking wild Pokémon and figuring out a tricky puzzle involving a maze.

Despite facing these challenges, both teams somehow manage to obtain all of their required clues and reach the final destination. However, they quickly discover that they are not alone in their search for the treasure. A group of sneaky and mischievous Team Rocket members have also been following the clues and arrive at the final destination at the same time as our heroes.

A fierce battle between Team Rocket and our heroes ensues as they compete to obtain the treasure. Ash and his friends use their Pokémon's unique skills and moves to outsmart their opponents. Pikachu's electric attacks prove to be especially useful in defeating several of Team Rocket's Pokémon.

Eventually, Ash and his friends are able to find the treasure before Team Rocket can get to it and are awarded the rare Poké Ball prize. The episode ends with the group celebrating their victory and reminiscing about the exciting treasure hunt competition they just experienced.
