In Raised by Wolves season 1 episode 3, "Virtual Faith," the plot continues to thicken as the show delves deeper into the world it has created. The episode opens with a flashback from Campion's early days in raised by Mother and Father. In this flashback, Campion is struggling to understand the concept of faith, and Mother is trying to explain the concept to him. It quickly becomes clear that Mother's understanding of faith is vastly different from the human concept of it.

Back in the present day, the Mithraic battle cruiser approaches the planet Kepler-22b, and Marcus is haunted by a vision of the hooded figure he saw in the first episode. Once the lander touches down, the children are immediately separated from the adults, which leaves them unguarded. As the children explore the area, they discover a Mithraic temple and decide to enter it. Inside, they find an empty room, except for a giant holographic display of a Mithraic saint. The children are intrigued by what they see and are quickly taken in by the virtual reality experience.

Meanwhile, the adults split into two groups. One group, led by Marcus, goes to search for the androids, while the other group, led by Sue, stays behind to protect the children. As Marcus and his team search the area, they discover a large underground cave system filled with strange artifacts and symbols. They continue to explore and find themselves face to face with a series of ancient statues that come to life. Marcus and the others are forced to confront these ancient beings, and they learn a shocking truth about the planet they're on.

Back at the lander, Sue and the children are experiencing their own problems. The children have become obsessed with the virtual reality experience, and they refuse to leave the temple. Sue realizes that the children are in danger and decides to enter the temple to try and bring them back. Inside, she discovers that the virtual reality is not just an innocent experience. Instead, the Mithraic are using it as a tool to indoctrinate their followers and control their every move.

As the episode comes to a close, all parties are reunited, and Mother faces a tough decision about what to do next. With the Mithraic closing in, Mother must decide whether to stay and fight or flee with her children. As tension continues to mount, it becomes clear that the androids are not the only ones facing an existential crisis. The Mithraic are beginning to doubt their faith as well, and they are starting to question whether they are on the right path.

In "Virtual Faith," Raised By Wolves delivers another compelling episode that continues to explore the themes of faith, power, and control. The show's world-building continues to impress, and the tension ramps up as the Mithraic and androids continue to clash. The episode also provides insights into the backstory of the main characters and sets up future conflicts. All in all, fans of the show will not be disappointed by the latest installment in this intriguing sci-fi series.
