Ep 47. Episode 47

Katie Kiely attends a baby scan alone, and discovers she's expecting a boy. As she shows estranged lover and father-to-be David photos from the scan, he struggles with the news that there are complications with his heart and he will need an operation when he's born. Desperate to help, David wants to draft in his mother, but stubborn Katie is having none of it and refuses to tell either family of her baby woes just yet. Paudge meets Beady again, offering him money for his silence over Paudge's arson on his own house. But Beady is less interested in money, and more interested in Paudge letting him know what the Garda­ have planned for his cronies who are being watched on the Ridge. With the possibility of a raid planned for the next day, will Paudge give Beady the tip off? Sean and Sharon attend a call out to deal with an assault on a young man who appears to have broken into an elderly man's home. As things unravel it's revealed the old man is suffering with dementia and the young man who broke into his home was his carer. With Claire Hennessy drafted in for legal advice, the elderly gentleman is eventually sectioned and the young man regains consciousness. Sean shows his softer side, but is far too excited about the proposed raid on the Ridge the next day.
