As the episode comes to a close, we see Gabriel and Elaine struggling with their personal lives. Gabriel is still grieving for Lisa, and his marriage is falling apart. Elaine, on the other hand, is trying to move on from a past trauma that still haunts her. Meanwhile, the investigation takes a surprising turn, which suggests that the detectives might be closer to the killer than they think.
