Robson Green's Extreme Fishing Challenge is a television show where Robson Green travels the world to explore the different types of fishing cultures and challenges. In season 2 episode 5, Robson travels to South Africa to explore the beautiful country and its unique fishing spots.

Robson starts his adventure in Cape Town where he meets Bokkies Botha, his local guide. They head to Hout Bay, a small fishing town, which is known for its giant yellowtail fish. They take a small boat and sail towards a nearby island to fish for these massive fish. Bokkies explains that fishing in South Africa is governed by strict regulations, so they need to catch and release any fish that they catch.

After several hours of fishing, Robson finally catches a massive yellowtail, weighing over 15kg. Excited and exhilarated, he lets the fish go, and they head back to the shore.

The next day, Robson heads to Hermanus, a seaside town that is famous for its whale watching. Here, he meets up with Kobus Mulder, a fisherman who specializes in flyfishing. They start their day at the Hermanus Lagoon, which is known for its elusive fish species. The two explore the lagoon, and Robson manages to catch some huge fish, including galjoen, steenbras, and sand sharks.

Next, Robson and Kobus head to the nearby river, which is an excellent spot for flyfishing. Robson has never tried flyfishing before, but with Kobus's guidance, he manages to catch some beautiful trout.

The last part of the journey takes Robson to the Kosi Bay, which is located in the northern part of the country. Kosi Bay is home to some of the most stunning estuaries, which are great for fishing. Robson meets up with Thando Zono, a local guide, who shows him the best spots for fishing.

Thando takes Robson to the Kosi Mouth, where they set up their fishing rods and wait for the fish to bite. The kosi estuaries are known for their impressive variety of fish species, and Robson manages to catch some huge grunter and kingfish.

Overall, Robson's trip to South Africa was a significant success, as he was able to explore the incredible fishing culture of the country and catch some of the most elusive fish species. The show does an excellent job of showcasing the beautiful landscapes and different types of fishing techniques used in South Africa.
