Ep 8. Phoenix

A woman named Meg arrives at Room 104, where she is greeted by an old friend in the form of a Phoenix statue. As she sits on the bed chatting with her ex, the Phoenix comes to life and starts speaking to her. Meg is freaked out at first, but then she realizes that the Phoenix is trying to help her get over the death of her best friend.

As they talk, Meg is transported back in time to one of her fondest memories with her friend, which is a perfect day they spent at the beach. She is happy to relive the moment, but is eventually overcome with emotion and has a breakdown. The Phoenix tries to comfort her by saying that death is not an end, but simply a transformation.
