Ep 1. The Murderer

In the season 4 premiere of Room 104, titled "The Murderer," we are introduced to a character named Ralph. He arrives at the motel room looking disheveled and nervous. He immediately locks the door and sets up a makeshift barricade with the furniture in the room.

As he paces around the room and examines his surroundings, we learn that he is on the run from the police and is hiding out in the motel. His paranoia and fear are palpable as he talks to himself and tries to figure out his next move.

Throughout the episode, we see flashbacks to Ralph's past and the events that led him to this point. We learn that he worked as a security guard at a shopping mall and had a troubled upbringing. He also has a strained relationship with his sister, who he calls multiple times throughout the episode.

As the tension builds, there are several moments where it seems like Ralph is about to be discovered by someone outside the room, whether it be housekeeping or the police. We also see him interact with a few unexpected visitors to the room, including a pizza delivery person and a prostitute.

Without giving too much away, "The Murderer" is a tense and claustrophobic episode that keeps the viewer guessing until the very end. It showcases the unique storytelling format that Room 104 is known for, using a single location and limited cast to tell a compelling and intimate story.
