Charlie is a struggling musician hoping for his big break when he is fired from his latest job as a singer in a teahouse for fighting with the customers. Leaving town Charlie spots Cathy, her father Joe and Maggie, the owner of a carnival. In a bid to spark a relationship with Cathy the musician takes a job with the carnival and is quickly the main attraction singing rock n roll. Success comes calling for Charlie as he must make a decision between the woman he loves and his friends or a successful career with a rival carnival.
