After a thrilling and action-packed second episode of the second Season of the Indian drama series Sacred Games, things slow down a little bit in the third episode named "Apasmara." The previous episode ended with Sartaj Singh learning the truth about the terrorist attack that is expected to happen within the next 25 days in Mumbai. In this episode, we see the different characters of the show processing this information in their own ways.

The episode opens with Batya Abelman, a Jewish woman who lives in Mumbai, performing an interesting ritual in a temple. She's seen chanting in Hebrew while performing the ritual of havdalah, which is a ceremony marking the end of the Sabbath, or Shabbat. The camera then pans to the sea where we see Guruji and his right-hand man. Guruji tells him that he wants to see every inch of his ashram in the next two days as they have very little time to waste and that he needs to be prepared for the next big step.

Meanwhile, Sartaj Singh has found a strong lead to his investigation. We see him walking in a market and looking for a woman named Jojo Mascarenhas. Sartaj finds her and pays her for information on Shahid Khan, the man who was behind the first season's attack in the city of Mumbai. Jojo tells Sartaj about Shahid's brother, who died in a blast, and Shahid's connection with a man named Anjali Mathur, who was investigating the attack.

Later, Sartaj meets Anjali’s mother, who tells him that Anjali tried solving the case even when no one was ready to believe her. She tells Sartaj that Anjali's death wasn't a suicide but she was silenced. She also tells him that she has some evidence that could help solve the case.

In another part of the city, we see Gaitonde waking up in his cell and talking to Bunty. He confides in Bunty that he has been having vivid dreams of his past, which he remembers very clearly, but as soon as he wakes up, he forgets everything.

Later, we see Batya Abelman meeting Guruji for the first time. She is there to pitch her idea to Guruji, who is the mastermind behind everything that is happening in Mumbai. She tells him that her people have been persecuted and destroyed by Nazis in Europe, and Guruji listens to her patiently. She also tells him that they need to start a new global order where everyone is equal and all religions can coexist peacefully. Guruji seems to be interested in Batya's proposal, and they have a philosophical conversation about the nature of God.

Meanwhile, Sartaj meets Parulkar and enlists his help in interrogating DCP Dilip Parulekar. Parulkar agrees to help Sartaj, and together, they interrogate DCP Parulekar. He gives them some valuable information, and they discover a link to Shahid Khan's brother's death.

In another part of the city, Gaitonde is taken out of his cell to meet Guruji. Guruji tells Gaitonde that he needs him to do something for him. He tells him that he wants him to kill his father, who is in jail for the past 14 years. Gaitonde protests, telling him that his father is innocent and has done nothing wrong, but Guruji tells him that this is necessary for the revolution.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger, with Guruji introducing Gaitonde to his father in the jail. The camera then pans out, showing the city of Mumbai, with the countdown clock ticking away. The tension builds up as we get closer and closer to the fateful day when the city will be under attack.

Overall, "Apasmara" is a slow-paced episode that focuses more on character development and setting up the plot for the upcoming events. However, it manages to keep the viewers intrigued with its philosophical conversations and interesting subplots, and the ending promises to lead to an exciting fourth episode.
