In Saint Seiya - Sanctuary (English Subtitled) season 1 episode 19, titled "Life or death? Blood on Hell's Island," the Saint Seiya warriors find themselves stranded on an isolated island, known as Hell's Island. The island is covered in a thick, menacing fog and the only inhabitants are a group of prisoners who have escaped from nearby jails. These prisoners are dangerous criminals and are being sought after by authorities.
The team learns that there is a ship coming to the island to retrieve the prisoners and they must make sure that they do not fall into the wrong hands. Athena's representatives led by Saori, want to make sure that the prisoners are safely returned to their respective jails. However, they discover that a group of rogue soldiers is also on the island and they are planning to use the prisoners for their own evil purposes.
The warriors split up into two teams to deal with the threat – Seiya and Shun will be responsible for stopping the soldiers while Ikki and Shiryu will take care of the prisoners. The situation becomes dire when a weakened Ikki falls into the hands of the criminals, who plan to use him to escape.
