Ep 1. Playing Dirty

In the opening episode of the second season of Saints & Sinners, titled "Playing Dirty," the congregation of Greater Hope Baptist Church is under threat once again as a massive hurricane heads towards the town of Cypress.

As the town braces for impact, Mayor Ella Johnson (Vanessa Bell Calloway) decides to cancel church services and order an evacuation, but many of the faithful are reluctant to leave their homes. Meanwhile, tensions continue to simmer between the rival factions vying for control of the town: Rex Fisher (Clifton Powell) and his criminal enterprise, and the Saints of Greater Hope, led by Pastor Johnson (Christian Keyes) and his wife Lady Byrd (Donna Biscoe).

As the storm bears down on the town, a plot is set in motion that threatens to upend the fragile peace between the two sides. Fisher and his henchmen devise a plan to steal a valuable piece of land belonging to the church, but the Saints are not to be underestimated. Word of the scheme reaches Tyrik (Keith Robinson), a former Fisher loyalist who has switched allegiances to the Saints, and he sets out to thwart the heist.

Meanwhile, the hurricane intensifies, bringing with it chaos and destruction. Several characters find themselves in perilous situations, including Kendrick (J.D. Williams), who is stranded on a roof, and Christie (Jasmine Burke), who is trapped in a flooded basement.

As the storm rages on, the true nature of the various characters is revealed, and alliances are tested. Will the Saints be able to protect their church and their community from the forces of evil, or will they fall victim to their own hubris?

Filled with high stakes drama, intense action, and complex character relationships, "Playing Dirty" sets the stage for what looks to be another riveting season of Saints & Sinners.
