The plan starts off well, but it quickly spirals out of control. Momma Goomer becomes suspicious of Sam and Cat and their intentions and tries to uncover their true identities. However, they are too quick for her and continue to trick her while trying not to reveal their real identities.

Meanwhile, Goomer starts to enjoy his birthday party, which Momma Goomer had planned while Sam and Cat were away. Sam and Cat realize they can't keep up the charade any longer and end up revealing their true identities to Momma Goomer.

In the end, Momma Goomer realizes her mistake and apologizes to Goomer for being so controlling. She promises to let him pursue his dreams and to support him in whatever he decides to do. Sam and Cat are impressed with Goomer's mom's newfound wisdom and they all enjoy the rest of Goomer's birthday party together.
