Ep 1. Doll

In Servant season 2 episode 1 titled Doll, we are taken back into the lives of the Turner family, following the trauma they endured in the previous season. Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean (Toby Kebbell) are still trying to make sense of what happened to their son Jericho, who they believe has been brought back to them in the form of a doll.

As the episode progresses, we see Leanne's role in the Turner household become increasingly pervasive and unsettling. Her actions, while seemingly helpful, come across as intrusive, and she often appears to be manipulating the couple for her own purposes. Her arrival threatens to expose the couple's secrets, including Sean's illegal tinctures, which he relies on to manage his stress and anxiety.

At the same time, Dorothy's grip on reality seems to be slipping further. In one scene, she attends a therapy session where she confesses to having dreams where she's drowning. The therapist, sensing something deeply troubling with Dorothy, recommends she speak to her husband, but the session ends abruptly. We also see Dorothy inexplicably fixated on a doll from her childhood, which could be a hint at her past trauma.

Overall, the season opener sets up a tense and eerie atmosphere, introducing a mysterious new character whose presence threatens to unravel everything the Turners have tried to rebuild. The episode leaves us with more questions than answers, hinting at deeper mysteries and secrets that are yet to be revealed.
