Ep 6. Lettuce

Single Parents season 1 episode 6 is titled "Lettuce". In this episode, Angie tries to help Poppy perfect her pitch for a competition at the school's farmer's market. Poppy is excited about winning the blue ribbon, but Angie is not so sure that her pitch is good enough. Meanwhile, Will and Douglas try to teach Miggy how to properly shower, and Will has to confront some personal issues when he sees his ex-girlfriend with a new guy.

As the episode begins, Angie is trying to help Poppy come up with a good pitch for the farmer's market competition. Despite Poppy's enthusiasm and determination to win, Angie thinks that her pitch is not strong enough to beat the competition. She uses her own experience in sales to try and guide Poppy, but they struggle to come up with a winning idea.

Elsewhere, Will and Douglas are trying to teach Miggy how to shower properly, but they struggle with the task. Miggy constantly forgets to use soap or shampoo, and they end up having to help him wash himself. During this process, Will starts to worry that he might not be a good enough role model for his son, and that he is failing to teach him important skills.

Meanwhile, Will is still dealing with the aftermath of his breakup with his ex-girlfriend, Mia. He has been texting her constantly, and even though he knows that he shouldn't, he can't help himself. When he sees her with a new guy at the farmer's market, he becomes jealous and upset. He tries to find a way to confront her, but eventually decides to just let it go and move on.

As the episode progresses, Angie and Poppy continue to work on their pitch for the competition. They try out different ideas and strategies, but nothing seems to be working. Eventually, Poppy has an idea to sell lettuce as a way to promote healthy eating. Angie is skeptical at first, but eventually comes around to the idea. They work together to create a catchy slogan and come up with a way to showcase the lettuce in a fun and engaging way.

The day of the competition arrives, and Poppy is nervous but excited. Will, Douglas, and Miggy come to support her, and they all cheer her on as she presents their lettuce to the judges. Poppy starts off nervous, but eventually finds her rhythm and delivers a great pitch. The judges seem impressed, and Poppy is thrilled when they award her the blue ribbon.

The episode ends with the group celebrating their victory at a nearby restaurant. They all congratulate Poppy on her win, and Will finally decides to move on from Mia. He realizes that he needs to focus on being a good dad and supporting his friends, rather than obsessing over his past mistakes. In the end, the characters all learn important lessons about friendship, family, and the importance of perseverance.
